EMSI is excited to participate in the Clean Gulf 2016 conference in Tampa, FL, this week. The Clean Gulf conference covers spill preparedness and response topics for the exploration and production; transportation; and storage of oil and hazardous materials. Providing a forum for responders, operators, regulators, equipment providers, and environmental groups, attendees openly discuss best practices and lessons-learned for response improvement.

EMSI President Ron Cantin, Executive Vice President Lisa Fettig, and Director of Operations Billy Haley will all be in attendance. We will be sharing booth #517 with our partners, The Response Group (TRG). Be sure to stop by and say hello or contact us to schedule a time to meet with us individually.

On Thursday morning, Ron Cantin, who also serves on the Clean Gulf Conference Advisory Committee, will be participating in the Understanding Incident Complexity: Right Sizing the Response Organization breakout session. Examining the specific factors that drive incident complexity in today’s response environment, this session will offer the perspective from government officials on organizational expectations. Finally, the session will provide considerations on keeping the organization “right sized” during the three primary phases of a response: escalation, stabilization/maturation, and de-escalation.
