Visit with EMSI at Upcoming Conferences

We are approaching a busy conference season and look forward to seeing our clients, partners, and friends, as well as meeting new ones, at the upcoming Clean Gulf, IAEM, and AHIMTA conferences.

Clean Gulf – October 28-31, New Orleans Louisiana

The Clean Gulf conference covers spill preparedness and response topics for the exploration and production; transportation; and storage of oil and hazardous materials. Providing a forum for responders, operators, regulators, equipment providers, and environmental groups, attendees openly discuss best practices and lessons-learned for response improvement.  EMSI will have a booth on the exhibit floor (booth # 101) and will participate in two breakout sessions.

  • A member of the Clean Gulf Conference Planning Committee, EMSI President Ron Cantin will serve as a panel speaker for the session on Exercise Evaluation – Maximizing Value (Track 6: Training and Exercise Best Management Practices) on Tuesday, October 29 at 1:30 pm, where he will speak on identifying areas for improvement and their root causes. 
  • EMSI Vice President of Operations Billy Haley will serve as a panel speaker for the session on Training and Developing Key IMT Members (Track 6: Training and Exercise Best Management Practices) on Wednesday, October 30 at 3:30 pm, where he will speak on the role of the Resources Unit.

In addition to supporting the Clean Gulf conferences, EMSI maintains a Preferred Response Organization (PROs) contract with Clean Gulf Associates to provide response management services to Clean Gulf Association industry partners. Specific services we offer for CGA industry partners include Incident Management Team (IMT) support, such as filling actual positions, to coaching/advising IMT personnel, evaluating the performance of an IMT, and preparing comprehensive after action documents.

International Association of Emergency Managers – November 18-20, Savannah, GA

This multi-day training and education event provides many benefits to all levels of government, the private sector, and non-government agencies alike. The conference includes a multitude of topics across the emergency management spectrum, enhancing attendee’s knowledge and strengthening their network of professionals.

This is the first year that EMSI is participating in the IAEM Conference.  EMSI Vice President of Operations, Billy Haley, will be in attendance and can be found at the Chainbridge Technologies booth.

All-Hazards IMT Association – December 10-12, St. Louis, MO

This is the fifth year EMSI has participated in this important conference that draws leaders in all-hazards incident management from around the United States and Canada.  EMSI can be found at booth 17 on the exhibit floor.
