URTA started work within the utility industry in 2010 and brings together a cadre of professionals with extensive experience in incident management, ICS training, and exercise development to support the electrical utility industry. URTA provides facilitation and delivery solutions for ICS training and IMT development and offers incident-specific support and subject matter expertise during incident response deployments.

For three months following Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the EMSI Incident Management Team (IMT) provided incident management support to the New York Power Authority (NYPA) as part of their mutual aid support to Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA). EMSI maintained a constant presence in the NYPA Incident Command Post (ICP), providing no less than four IMT members at any given time, to support Incident Command, Planning, Situation, Resources, and Logistics functions on the NYPA IMT.
