Course overview
ICS-343 prepares emergency management and response personnel for the role of Plan Development Unit Leader or Planning Support Unit Leader (PDUL/PSUL) within the Planning Section of an Incident Management Team. The course focuses on supporting the Operational Planning Cycle, coordinating development of the Incident Action Plan, integrating contingency information, and collaborating with Command and General Staff to produce supporting operational plans during extended response operations.

- Explain the roles and responsibilities of the Plan Development and Planning

- Describe coordination requirements between the Plan Development Unit and Incident Management Team members.
- Apply methods for incorporating contingency plan information into operational planning.
- Support development of the Incident Action Plan during the Operational Planning Cycle.
- Describe procedures for developing supporting operational plans.
Delivery format
