ICS-341 Planning Section Training

Course Overview

Focusing on the responsibilities of the positions assigned to the Planning Section, ICS-341 is designed to enhance and exercise the student’s knowledge of the planning section and the planning process (initial response and during the transition to extended response operations using an Incident Action Plan). This course emphasizes the needed interactions between all positions in the planning section, as well as interactions with the entire Incident Management Team and external entities. This course is an instructor-led training that supports learning through discussion, lecture, and active participation in multiple exercises that provides a realistic, hands-on approach to mastering the skills required of a Planning Section.

Responders performing within an ICS Planning Section (Planning Section Chief, Deputy, Situation Unit Leader, Resources Unit Leader, Environmental Unit Leader, Documentation Unit Leader and Demobilization Unit Leader)

Successful completion of ICS-300
